STJW Street Patrol

OUR NEXT STREET PATROL DATE IS SATURDAY, April 20, 2024!

Street Patrol is an opportunity where parishioners and participants can spend some time to prepare, distribute and help feed the homeless and in need in the Toronto downtown core. The program has been present within the Archdiocese of Toronto since 1995, mainly headquartered at St. Patrick's Parish.

At St. Joseph the Worker Parish, we coordinate and go on our own Street Patrol initiative to support the main program and to help create more opportunities to help and be involved in service. Our parish coordinates a monthly initiative that starts with the preparation and packing of bagged lunches at 9AM (on the scheduled date) in the parish hall facilities before traveling to downtown Toronto for distribution. Our group usually arrives back to St. Joseph the Worker Parish by 3:30PM the same day.

If you are unable to physically attend or participate, there are other ways to get involved! Prior to the scheduled date, the parish will notify the community regarding any donations for supplies and ingredients used for Street Patrol, including but not limited to, bread, deli meats, mustard, mayonnaise, cheese, granola bars, juice boxes, water bottles, and other packable lunch items. Every little donation makes a big difference!

For more information or any inquiries regarding Street Patrol, please contact the parish office for assistance. We hope to see you at the next STJW Street Patrol!
